  1. Lori, Thanks for sharing Sophie with us, what a delightful video. Her voice is so melodic and comforting with her beautiful painting to accompany it! I'll be following along with her work. It also brought back memories of my days on the "F" train, although it was much more crowded back then.

  5. I love this illustration, I know because this is on all trains in the city I love because it describes the ethnicity of NYC. and part of the culture of the people who live here. I knew her as an artist but now I will try to find their jobs to learn more about his work. Thanks for posting this video and information.

  6. lori - this was wonderful! i hope you get a chance to meet her and share chocolate with sophie! i love what she drew and the i love that it is hanging in the subway car - i wonder how many people have recognized themselves in her painting :)

  10. I love this video. It just goes to show that you never know when someone thinks you're an interesting subject and decides to sketch you into their artwork. Hmmm. I think I'll be more aware to watch for skethbooks the next time I'm on the subway trains. lol. Thanks for sharing. Linda E.
