i have a deadline for an upcoming calligraphy exhibit...fast approaching...that i kept putting off (because i was carving stamps instead!)...and the time is NOW...panic is starting to set in...that sick feeling in my stomach has arrived...yikes!...procrastination....i thought i learned this lesson already!
(i hope to have something to show you soon!)
oh i do that all the time--procrastinate. why do we do that? best of luck with your project. love the shoe drawing!
ReplyDeleteShouldn't you be doing something else besides reading comments on your blog? Just kidding! ;) I'm sure your work will be beautiful--wish I were closer to see it in person!
ReplyDeleteHi Lori! Wishing you a stress-free production! Good Luck on your exhibit!
ReplyDeleteI'm exactly the same way.
Hugs,
Lisa :)
Lori,
ReplyDeleteNo panic! Our best work usually comes when we work under pressure...well that's what we use to say when we were in college and studying at the last min! Man "A's" came out of those power studies.
You will be fine!
Hey Elvie,
ReplyDeleteI have a question. Your journals are so beautiful. At one time, I wrote in a journal, but soon became worried that someone would find it. What does one do with a journal when it is full with a cover so beautiful?
Good Luck for the exhibition, Im sure you will get everything done in time.
ReplyDeleteSorry,
ReplyDeleteI keep writing little blurps instead of on big blurp :). I've been looking for a decent, inexpensive hobby to pick up. I think I've decided upon letter writing. I enjoy writing (the physical act) and everyone enjoys receiving a letter in the mail. There are so many fun stationeries out there too! Maybe I can purchse some of your stamps too!...not sure if you sell your stamps...hmmm.
is a dead line still really a dead line?
ReplyDeletewhen you do not make the d-line
you are probably still, yes, a-live!
But... I see something there in that picture that looks really good!!!!
ReplyDeleteYou can do it! I wish you a lot of success!!! No panic. 'A relaxed mind is a creative mind' (quote from someone unknown, but I have to remind myself too ;-)

ReplyDeletegood luck with everything!! Im sure you'll be brilliant :)
ReplyDeleteI'm reading your blog backwards and now seeing all the unfinished pieces of the wonderful piece you made for the exhibit. I like this picture too. This proves to me you work well under pressure.
