yesterday i was 49 years old, and today....well, today i've moved on into my "fifth decade of life". me and my precious friend martha (who by the way treated me and our friends to a fabulous luncheon at her playhouse-studio last friday to celebrate....you are the absolute best martha!!) have decided that "the fifth decade of life" is not only too much to say, but sounds way too serious....so instead, today i am "30-20". okay, stay with me here for a minute....it sounds so much better than 50, don't you think?! and just to clarify, i'm not trying to be an age that i'm not. i celebrate every new smile line on my face....they are proof positive that i lead a very blessed, happy, and laughter-filled life. and, to be honest, i've already been 30 and 20....i don't need (or want) to be there again! but there's something fun and snappy about saying "30-20"....and today, that's exactly what i want to be: fun and snappy! :)
Happy Birthday!!! Have a wonderful day.
ReplyDeleteHey Lori,
ReplyDeleteHappy 30-20 Day! The luncheon sounded wonderful! I'm joining the 30-20 group in Jan....
:~} Patricia
Happy Birthday! I think 30-20 sounds perfect! Here's to another fun and snappy year :)
ReplyDeleteHi Lori! Happy birthday!!! I like
ReplyDelete"30-20". I turned 50 in December I still sort of choke that number out when I say it! I don't feel it, and I certainly don't act it, so in my mind I'm still about 35! I'll try using 30-20, but I really wish I could just knock off that 20part!!! Paulette :o)
Happy Birthday Lori!!! Many many more!!!! Loved the photos on Marthas' blog...looks like you are all having fun and that cake looks delich!!!
ReplyDeleteYou think you've got it bad...I hit the 30/30 this past year...ugh!!
I too don't feel that old...just when I get up in the morning and have to work out the kinks, and then I'm good to go!
Have a lovely day!
Happy Birthday! I hope you have a fantastic day.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday, Lori! That's so wonderful and I agree - 30-20 sounds snappy. I'll have to remember that when I hit the big 50 in a few years... The best wishes for a happy, creative and abundant next year!! Hugs, Silke
ReplyDeleteFun and snappy is a great way to be at any age. Happy Birthday to you.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday to you:) I felt like I was the only 30-20. The funny thing is, when did this happen. I was just 35 a year ago, I think. Well, the memory is the first thing to go, or is it the boobs? Have a great birthday!!:)
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday to you...(come now, sing it out)...Happy Birthday to you...(go ahead, you know you want to)...Happy Birthday Dear Friend...Happy Birthday to you!
ReplyDeleteI will be 50 next time around and I love your way of saying it. LOL

ReplyDeleteHappy belated birthday, Lori. I'm catching up on my blogs after being gone for a bit. What a wonderful, fun birthday cake and group to celebrate with. I have a couple of years on you and have to say, I rather like the 50's thing :). Feels weird to say it out loud, but I think this might be my favorite decade yet! Hope you find the same to be true. Enjoyyyyyyy!
