inspiration monday

from start to finish.....the winter olympics was awesome!
thank you athletes....thank you canada!!
and after sixteen days of watching champions from all around the world compete, one thing's for certain.....those kids are in great shape!! i've figured out that in order to have great buns-of-steel to show off in one of those skintight snowsuits, all it takes is slaloming down a snow covered mountaintop for six hours a day.
yeah.....like that's gonna happen!
the reality is at this point in my life, the thrill of victory means having my buns-of-jello just look good in my jeans....and watching the olympics for the past two weeks has somehow subliminally inspired me to try to make that happen by eating a little better, and dare i say it....exercise more. and hopefully by the time the summer olympics rolls around in two years, i won't be feeling the agony of defeat when i see all of those runners sport their little track and field shorts!!

  6. Some of the wins were so close too - 1/100 of a second. The athletes certainly did ski, skate, snowboard etc. their hearts out. Well done.

  13. You've managed to take an all too familiar, not-so-good situation (unfirm buttocks) and make it funny and sweet.

  15. what - are you reading my mind???? are we on the same wavelength????
just this morning i took a walk. (trying to get my buns-o-jello back in shape). that's the first walk i've taken since fall (although the PA winter cold and snow don't make for good walking in my opinion).
it's a shame we live in different states because i could sure use a motivational buddy. i'll cheer you on from afar if you'd like. :-)
and btw - i've switched to DARK chocolate. it's supposed to be better for you - YEA!!!! my favorite snack is organic dark chocolate chips, dried cranberries and almonds. yum! and healthy!
    :-)

  16. hehe, i feel the same way about the olympics! i did do some static lunges and push ups when I felt too guilty for not being as awesomely in shape as any of those athletes. Even the ones that come in dead last.

  19. It was great watching the Olympics! The opening and closing ceremonies were fantastic despite a few mishaps ~ but they worked them out.

Totally inspiring to watch so many atheletes in their strive for their personal bests.

I love how you incorporated the games into your artwork and your victories and gains.
