confession time

well, i must confess that i didn't get very far with my studio re-org yesterday.....as a matter of fact, if i'm brutally-honest-oprah-tell-all:
i only worked for about an hour.
i decided to make this mini doodle quiltie instead. my studio is still a disaster, but i figure that if i had taken the time to clean it yesterday, it would already be a mess today....so see how much time i saved myself?!

this mini rainbow is in my etsy shop here.

  5. HAHA! This just makes me like you even more. Cleaning vs. crafting? Not really a contest, is it? I love that you ditched the organization project in favour of making something. (And a CUTE something, to boot!)

  7. I'm with you - I'd much rather create than clean!! This is adorable - much more fun than laundry, dusting, etc....

  8. I just love your art. What did you use for your lettering? What did you for the lettering on the batting (previous quiltie post)?

Thanks so much. I view your posts daily. They make me smile.

  9. Cleaning can get done at any time. Inspiration needs to be acted upon if you possibly can. My idea anyways.:) LOVE the doodle quilt and the sentiment upon it!!!!!

  10. again...a messy, chocolate loving, "go for the fun and save the clean.up for later" my kind of girl!
i think you were inspired to CREATE instead of that other "C" word...because i really needed your words today.
i need to do more praising of HE who sends rainbows.
    thanks dear.
    happy tuesday.
(p.s. baby steps....an hour is a great start at baby steps!)

  17. Creating this is far better than organizing. When my stuff is put away all neat then I tend to not want to get it out and that hampers my creativity. Happy creating...

  21. Love your doodle quiltie! It makes me sick to think of all the great art that gets never done because people (women ;) have to clean up all the time - so, congrats to what you did Lori!
