hello, sweet bloggers!

just popping in for a moment to say hi-dee-ho, how are 'ya?!!
it seems like it's been forever since my "rest stop" began......and as it turns out, my break was quite timely because i've spent most of it trying to nurse a temperamental thyroid back to good health.  i've surely had my share of naps and sleep over these past two weeks......so much so that i'm actually tired of resting!   feeling much better now, i have much more energy, and i'm motivated to be back in the studio again and play with all of my toys!
i decided to ease on back into things by getting out some of my watercolors and  do some mixing and painting (and i was thrilled to discover that yellow and blue still make green......).  i've also started to get that itch to stitch again.....my fingers just can't stay away from pretty threads and fabulous fabrics......so glad i've had some rest so i can start on all of these projects i've been dreaming about......

thank you very much for all of your sweet comments,
notes and e-mails.......
i appreciate it so much, and i'm sending you a big cyber-hug!!!!

  3. so lovely!!

My thyroid is acting up, as well. It's astounding how such a tiny little butterfly-shaped gland in our bodies can cause such issues! Hope you continue to feel better.

  4. LOVELY. Welcome back ! And take care! My chiropractor has a book out soon which I think might help you (it's about all the glands/organs and how they all work together - usually ! - and what you can do when thing go wrong and how to check which gland/organ is the problem.

How funny -- I just started a new thyroid Rx yesterday called Nature-throid. I hope this one is the ticket.

I hope you had some great R&R! :)

  19. Oh lori!!!!!!!!!! Lori's back!!!!
I can not even BEGIN to tell you how much I have missed you! Every single day I've thought about you and wished you well, worried that something was terribly wrong. I am relieved to hear from you, but I feel sad that you haven't felt well. Thyroid troubles can really knock one senseless, I know. I am glad that you took the necessary time to heal and rest. Love you and am so happy to "see you" again. It's just not the same without you! (I haven't been around as much I guess lately...trying to slow down to rest my own self). Happy October, my friend.♥

  31. Glad you took time out;Thyroids can cause so many issues. I have autoimmune thyroid disease, so I know. It amazes me how a butterfly shaped gland, is the master controller of the body, besides brain and heart, it can really wreck
havoc! Happy you are better; Have you tried yoga, it is suppose to help the thyroid~

Can you tell me, with this lettering technique, did you do the letters first, then the watercolors, or the other way around?
