today's journal page is brought to you by one of my all-time favorite tools......the niji waterbrush! i love this thing! i use it when i'm working with watercolor, watercolor pencils, sketch & wash pencils, and any other time i need a little spritz of H2O. i've had mine for several years, and the brush tip is still holding its shape beautifully. it's great for travel, or if you just want to set up creative camp in front of a movie some time!
this journal page was created while experimenting with different tools and shading techniques as part of a lesson in alisa burke's sketchbook delight class. supplies used: micron pen, pencil, pilot G-tec pen, sketch & wash pencil, niji waterbrush
I love mine too! and I love what you can do with yours!!
ReplyDeleteP.S. What do you do all your fabulous lettering with?
Hi lori! I was actually thinking about something like this water brush yesterday. Thanks, lori! I will check it out. I think I NEED one. ~K
ReplyDeleteThanks Lori for introducing me to this. I think I will go hunt one down. There is an art store not too far away from here...
ReplyDeleteYour page is great....I have one of those brushes but mine doesn't seem to put out the same work as your does,hahaha.......
ReplyDeleteHave a great day
Ahh...I too have this waterbrush, however it does nothing like the magic you do with your waterbrush. I have a blue one and a pink one...two sizes of brushes. Why would I own only one to sit on the worktable when another keeps the two from being lonely. :o) Happy waterbrushing...
ReplyDeleteOh, that looks interesting! I will have to check that out!
ReplyDeleteI must try one sometime. I wonder how you clean it when you move from one colour to another? And , what size do you use mostly?
ReplyDeleteI have to check this little sucker out.
ReplyDeleteI love mine too. It goes with me everywhere along with my Peerless paint set. love love love it! I have been selling them at our shop for years and we have also put bleach in them, embossing solution, dyes, and of course water. so easy and convenient to travel with too.
ReplyDeleteYour sketches are so awesome!!!
ReplyDeletejust a note to say
ReplyDeleteyour art pages make my day
in your journal
theres not a kernal
of glue out of place
no disgrace
you always paint within the line
and your scissor work is very fine!
i bought that water pen but haven't used it yet. but i will
neat sketches! i hope you are enjoying the class!
ReplyDeletei love my waterbrush, too :-)
