my sweet tooth is reminding me that it's 3:45 in the afternoon......and that means chocolate!! today's pick: brownies.....in the form of an eight-by-eight inch pan of pure chocolatey happiness! but, here's the dilemma: do i cut a piece large enough to satisfy my cocoa craving, and then be done with it? or, do i cut a more lady-like square, and then do the "brownie whittle"......you know, when you cut a small piece, and then go back a few minutes later and cut just a sliver (to even up the edges, of course), thereby saving on mega-calories by eating such a tiny piece......and then repeat the whittle as needed (to even up the edges, of course).....or until the entire first row is gone, and then proceed on to the next row.....
i'm currently on a little bloggy break......
this is an encore presentation of a post originally featured on november 12, 2009
great encores!
ReplyDeletebahahaha- I do the "whittle", too! Great name for it. I finally started baking brownies in muffin tins so I couldn't get away with that as easily ;)
ReplyDeleteTaking a blog break is a great idea, especially with an idea like encore features. Have you tried gluten free brownies made with beans? They are quite good!
ReplyDeleteHmmmm, can i have a little piece please! I sooooo feel like chocolate now! Happy weekend Lori!
ReplyDeleteWhat is it about 3:45 in the afternoon? After-school snack time just doesn't subside! Lori, cut that good sized piece....sit down.....and Enjoy with lady-like little bites (that's the hard part for me....cuz I'm a wolfer!! LOL)
ReplyDeleteAfter a very stressful 48 hours, I bit into a chunk of solid milk chocolate...more than once. Okay, more than 5 times. It helped. Happy chocolate day, lori, and Happy Weekend! ♥k
ReplyDeleteOh Yeah! The chocolate whittle is famous and I am so not alone. Enjoy that 3:45 afternoon chocolate and keep refreshing yourself. I love this post. Bahaha...
