here's to you, marshmallow man

another thing i ♥ about Christmas is building a big snowman in the front yard.
i remember fun times as a kid in indiana trying to outdo my brothers by making a snowman that was bigger than theirs (which wasn't too hard, because they usually spent all their time throwing snowballs at me instead of building.....).
of course, living in florida, we don't see too many snowmen in front yards, so i think the next best thing is stacking three extra large marshmallows on top of each other.....a little melted chocolate in between the layers will usually hold them together.

....you probably knew it wouldn't take me long to somehow bring
this conversation around to the subject of chocolate.....right....?  :))

  1. lori, in north east ohio we built the same snowman and had the same fun you and your brothers did.....memories, aren't they wonderful....we now live in north carolina, where we do get cold and some snow....nothing like north east ohio lake effect snow though....as a matter of fact, we had snow flurries yesterday here in nc.... ;-)

  2. Oh Lori - I love your artwork. Here in Canada we have cold blustery snow today - not enough for a snowman but enough to put you in the Christmas spirit. I love it!
    Have a creative day.

  3. Lori, What an adorable snowman! Thanks for the trip down memory lane building snowmen and the ensuing snow balls fights the boys would create. And, I love the fact of creating your own snowman from marshmallows w/chocolate too - mmmm...think my stomach is growling. Bet you made some awfully cute snowangels too! Thanks for the smile! xoxo, Jeanette

  4. I'm with you, a snowman in the front yard is da man! We gave our snowman a heart light, last year. Carve a ♥ cavity into the back of the snowman. First place a small sheet of red velium vertically into the opening, then an activated Flicker Flame (Battery Operated LED Tea Light)on the snow-shelf next. From the front view, you're "da man" shows his warm ♥!

    Enjoy the white stuffly yours,

  8. Too cute! Of course I completely agree with your marshmellow and chocolate Florida version! I've lived my entire life in Florida, and I'm pretty happy with never having had to deal with snow. I hope you are well and had a wonderful Thanksgiving!

First snowfall today in TO but it didn't stay. It was white for a while which was nice.
