vintage lockers

there are only two blank pages left in my pottery barn journal
and i'm chomping at the bit to get them filled!!
today, i couldn't resist adding a set of vintage lockers to my wish list......

they have that special creamy white, time-worn, weathered look that can only be accomplished with years of exposure to sun and sea air (or maybe a few days with very experienced faux painter!),  and there's all kinds of room inside to store secret stuff.

but what i really went crazy for are these stenciled numbers......i just love simple little details like that, and these chunky numbers make me want to label everything in my house!
 but for now, i'm off to sink myself into my catalogs and choose something pottery-barn-special to add to my last blank journal page !!  woo hoo!!

{materials:  koi watercolor, derwent inktense pencils, micron pens,
graphite pencils, uniball signo white gel pen}

    Off topic a bit... Do you have a video of yourself water coloring?! I would love to see your process, if so - your art is just so inspiring :)

  7. Lori, I have watched a few videos for LetterLAB, I have found you so soothing to my soul. I am very drawn to your style journal pages, I am not one for fussy journal pages, I would rather create on a canvas, if I put out all of my art supplies. But I was seeking a new journey, a simple sketch but words to go with it...and then I found you! blessed that I have, this is just what I have been seeking... you have inspired me so! xo

  8. Oooh, this is lovely. I love the soft colors of this page and the lettering at the bottom of course. I've been practicing away, about an hour a day on the letters. I am chopping at the bit to start a journal page but haven't found that tipping point between practice and starting a final product. :) Soon!

  9. This whole pottery barn journal has been so delightful to watch grow. You have a very distinctive style especially with your watercolouring.

  10. Lori, I always feel like I want to live inside the Pottery Barn catalog. However, following your journal, I want to live inside yours!!! Is there room? Promise I won't take up too much room or make much noise, except for some squeels of delight ;). xoxo~Jeanette

  11. What do you hide in your lokers? A nice multicolour skeleton... considering that Halloween is over for a short time !!
    (Remember my fanciful English!)
    xoxoxo Eulalia from Italy

    P.S. Your drawings inspire always imaginative and nice visions... your colours light up my grey days.
    Thank you Lori.

  14. Your sketched PB art journal is far more beautiful and interesting that the printed mass produced version. PB really needs to hire you for their next catalog. Love your art dear...
