i really look forward to my morning walks here in the mountains because it's fun to discover plants like these tall, wispy, spikey-stemmed weeds.
and being able to look around while i'm walking up and down these crazy hills helps to serve as a great distraction to that non-stop burning in my choco-thighs-and-hips! heeheehee
This is just gorgeous Lori, love the colours and your design is beautiful.

It is fantastic to find the beauty in a simple and small grass. Only the eyes of an artist are able to find out. Congratulations for your work and for having these wonderful mountains to walk and discover the beauty. Kisses.
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful
ReplyDeleteYour post reminds me I need to get outside soon. My only exercise has been climbing up & down a ladder painting + some upper arm action w the paint brush... Does breathing with exertion count as cardio... Teasing!
ReplyDeleteLove seeing your mountain artwork. Did you move already?
hi christine! oh my goodness, i think you're getting a much better workout than i am....painting is serious total-body-muscle-workout! makes me tired just thinking about it!
ReplyDeleteour house in florida is still on the market....hoping for a buyer very soon, so we're spending most of the summer up here in the mountains. we love it up here, but i must admit i'm getting homesick for that atlantic ocean breeze! xox
Great discovery--AND great little watercolor sketch!!
ReplyDeleteIsn't it wonderful what you can find out there ....a lovely sketch.
ReplyDeleteLori Dear certainly you need chocolate to sustain you while you are walking and discovering new flora and fauna. When we moved here I was totally entranced to watch baby leaves bursting forth after the cold winter and snows. Truly amazing is Mother Nature. Love your feathery "weeds". Wistful Walking...
ReplyDeleteWalking, creating, and eating chocolate. What could possibly be better for the mind and body?! You know, if you eat handfuls of dark chocolate covered blueberries...they're good for you...!
ReplyDeleteand you translate everything you see into art so beautifully! I hope you are enjoying your time up there! Sounds wonderful!
ReplyDeleteLori! Leave it to you and your infinite creativity and fabulous watercolors to make a "weed" look spectacular! Maybe I need to get outside and see if any of my weeds look compelling to capture. Usually I'm in a tug-of-war with them, which makes my thighs burn!
ReplyDeleteThanksnformsharing your glorious mountain adventures with us! Oh, to be in the mountains in the summer...
