hi melissa! i played with my photo in photoshop, but couldn't get an image i liked, so i decided to just use tracing paper and focus on the dark, shaded areas of my photo (i think that's how i lost my nose! :)) using the tracing paper makes transferring the image onto the speedy carve easier, too. xox
That's really neat...I was just looking at stamping blocks to make my own stamps last night. Etsy has quite a few shops...but they are in China. Wonder if Hobby Lobby has those stamping blocks. I have the tools. Just need the block.
I really like your Selfie ;-) There is a stamp I have been wanting to create of an Arabian horse, I have all the materials and zero knowledge as to how to do it. Your selfie has provided some insight, Thank you! Any additional information is welcome. Thanks for sharing:)
ps not done any practicing for my journal this week. Father in law has passed away and the funeral was today. Hopefully get back into my routine next week xx
Wow! That is awesome, Lori! I love to carve stamps but I never thought of a selfie. Great job - thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteLori,
ReplyDeleteThis is delightful as only you can do! And, whether or not you have a nose, it is adorable!
Have a fabulous weekend!
Hugs and love,
Jeanette
Love it! Did you use photoshop to simplify the photo or just free draw?
ReplyDeletewow. that's fabulous! you could totally do those of other people and sell them. if you want to practice on me I'd be ok with that :)
