the sea does not reward those who are too anxious,
too greedy, or too impatient.
to dig for treasures shows not only impatience and greed,
but lack of faith.
patience, patience, patience, is what the sea teaches.
patience and faith.
one should lie empty, open, choiceless as a beach -
waiting for a gift from the sea.

Lovely. Hope you're enjoying your sabbatical. :o)
ReplyDeleteHow thoughtful of you to leave us something while you are blog breaking. The calm or storm of the beach...
ReplyDeleteI love Ann Morrow Lindbergh's writing, and your post was so wonderful to read. I always thought that if I was stranded on an island with just one person, it would be her.
ReplyDeleteI'm new to your classes and have spent the afternoon practicing your lettering. It was so addicting that the afternoon was almost gone before I came up for a cup of tea. Will you be creating more classes for the future? I hope so!
Enjoy your adventure,

A really beautiful post. Enjoy your time.
