after spending a few days playing hookie, i'm eager to get back to my "wish list" of pending projects. first on the list: carving some more rubber stamps!
look familiar? i couldn't resist carving a stamp of one of my most favorite illustrations! i've enhanced the image a little by using a micron pen, and added the white dots with a gel pen.
this is the reverse image of the previous stamp. i decided to carve the heart and hand separately, so i can switch the artwork up a bit (sorry this image isn't darker!). this was so much fun...i could easily get hooked on this!

Your stamp turned out great Lori! Love it!!
Love this Lori! SO YOU!!! Because you are always dispensing love from your hands. Maybe we can carve some tomorrow for our journal!
Those are so awesome. I have been buying items to do my own stamps for the past few weeks. I just have not had the time to start. What a good job you did!!
Oh, I used to love to cut linoleum blocks in college (I used to gouge myself regularly, too, in the process). Seeing your stamp, along with your tools, makes me want to haul my own tools out and start doing it again!
Hugs,
Kate
These are great!!! I've never carved a stamp, but it looks so addictive.
your stamps are AMAZING!! i heart them very much. :)
I would know your stamp right off, just because I now already associate it with you. I would be afraid I would cut myself. They don't like me having knives at scouting events. I know all the rules but still manage to nick myself. I think carving stamps would be fun.
that DOES look like fun!
There's such a sense of satisfaction using a stamp you carved yourself! Yours is perfect, and I can imagine it on cards and journal covers to come...
Wow, well done, very impressive... sarah x
Hi, of course this post is genuinely fastidious and I have learned lot of things from it about blogging. thanks.
