inspiration monday

mother nature has given us a day filled with wind, rain and grey, grey skies.  normally, this would inspire me, as these are usually perfect days to head towards the studio and be creative!  however, one look at this desk and i'm thinking otherwise....that little three-inch-square piece of uncluttered real estate remaining on top of this workspace isn't exactly the ideal environment to create anything.  so today inspiration is calling me to get this stuff organized (yet, again?!).  clearly not one of my favorite things to do...maybe one of these days i'll convince myself to clean as i go before moving on to the next project.  maybe.

  1. I think my young daughter has learned from "what I do" in my studio and not "what I say" about keeping her room "clean as you go"! Perhaps if I showed a better example she'd learn too! Hope you have a good day cleaning and organizing!

  2. Workspaces like that call to me. They scream, "Create!" My desk was such a disaster the other day that I cleared a spot on the floor when inspiration struck!

  4. Ha! Your studio table looks just like mine. I spend most of my time sifting through the piles as I work. I WISH I could learn to put things away as I finish with them. Maybe the clutter is part of my "process"?

    Hugs,

    Kate

  5. Hope the organize bug will bite---I love it when that bug bites and I get things all organized. Then sometimes I don't want to mess it up! Happy organizing! Won't be long and you will be organizing in your New space!!!

  7. What mess...I don't see a mess...don't know what you're talking about... :)

BTW Lori, if you ever taught a carve-your-own-stamp-block class, I'd so take it. You are talented! And patient!

  10. You seem to have such a beautiful life. The house is beautiful too! The weather on that day sounded so awesome! I love windy, grey, rainy days :). There is a saying about people being organized vs disorganized, that being disorganized is the one that is sane! Lol! So I wouldn't worry about being too organized! Might loose your creativity.

I am so inspired by you. :) Looking for my own passion. Keep up the good work
