love stampin'

well, i'm still trying to "tidy up" my studio....and just as i was in the process of putting away my carving tools, i decided to sit down and create this little love stamp (this is why i hate to put things away, because i'll just get them back out again, right?).   since i was dawdling and doing just about anything i could think of to avoid my cleaning, i decided to sketch this funky little sign post around my "love" image just to give it a little interest.   and now, maybe i could make this into a card?

  1. Hey Lori,

I need that stamp! (Sunday was our anniversary). I need a little "love" stamp, and maybe some permanent ink so I can stamp my man? ;)

  2. Kate- that is hilarious! Lori, if you need your studio a little messy to create your lovely works, then I say keep the dust, keep the clutter, have a seat and keep the art coming!!

  3. I totally agree that if you can create such "lovely" things while cleaning, then keep the clutter! :)

  7. How cute.. Something about that word that just stands alone, yet builds so many wonderful stories. Loved the stamp.. Glad you didn't put up all your stuff.

  11. of course!! It's fabulous...maybe even a little framed feature on the front of a handmade book? ;)

I'm with Lauren...cleaning often seems to kill my creative juices, so I say leave it a little messy! (just so long as there's space for a piece of paper, I say it's good!)

    {{hugs}} and happy Wednesday!

  13. yes you could! it's just delightful. i got my carving tools out the other day and took a pink eraser and started carving jenna. i thought it would be fun for her to have her own name stamp. when i tried it out for the first time i realized that i forgot to carve the letters BACKWARDS. oh well first time is for learning, right?
