i have a chip obsession.....and not just of the potato variety. these little ghiradelli goodies pack a chocolate punch that i just can't get enough of. i've promised my hips that i'm going to try to enjoy fewer of these in 2010.....but how could i possibly resist the chocolatey happiness that each little chip provides?!
the main challenge is that they're only five calories each....which is a good thing.....but maybe a little too easy to eat more than i should.
and these little 60% cacao gems not only satisfy my bittersweetness craving, they also offer loads of antioxidants.....so it's really for "my health" that i can't give them up completely.
now if i could only find a way to justify eating potato chips......
sad is day
ReplyDeletebowl is empty
What would life be like without tasty treats? Scary thought right? I think that it's good to enjoy sweets and treats (guilt-free,) but it's also good to not over indulge. Balance is key.
ReplyDeleteOh, we've addicted to these ever since we found them in the grocery store many months ago. We miss them in the little bowl with whole (unroasted, unsalted almonds) for a delicious and (daily) healthy snack...life is good... Hugs, Silke
ReplyDeleteI really should read my comments before publishing them.
ReplyDeleteI meant "we've been addicted," of course... :) And "we mix them" - goodness, I need better glasses, I think... or more chocolate chips... :)
LOL! Guess I will be looking for these tasty treats on my next trip to the store. Too tempting . . .
ReplyDeleteThanks! I am sure we all NEED chocolate in our life and diet.
I was nursed on chocolate-really...my mother was a hand-dipper, the last of her breed. She lived 90 lucid, healthy years, and swore it was because of the chocolate, which later proved to be true.
ReplyDeleteThe latest google search revealed that dark chocolate might stop coughs, and during the holidays, my niece had a nasty cough all night for weeks. Upon researching, she started eating 6 squares before bed, and got the first night's sleep in weeks. Well, there you have it. Eat away with no guilt.
I do.
love ya.
Oh don't show me these!!! I just threw out all the Christmas chocolate and cookies!!!! :/
ReplyDeleteOh, but these are little bitty things, maybe just a few!! :)
And the dark chocolate is good for you, and if I mix them with almonds that even better right???????????
nothing like some really good dark chocolate to cheer a girl up! I always knew it was good for us, long before medical research told us so!
ReplyDeletewhen we took our family summer trip last year to NYC, we bought my son a monkey that plays "I Love Chocolate" when you squeeze his hand. so i say this morning "I Love Chocolate." :-)
ReplyDeleteHa...I like how there was less and less of them in each picture. You are so cute :) We keep a bag of dark chocolate chips in the cupboard. A small handful will really help to satisfy my sweet tooth...but it sure is hard to not go back for more :)
ReplyDeleteYou are SO cute! I love the progressive photos. And chocolate is definitely one of the main food groups!!!
ReplyDeletereplenish and enjoy, LOL
ReplyDeleteNow I can't stop thinking about chocolate and the homemade fudge is sitting on my sink staring at me! Oh, what about dark chocolate (anti-oxidants), walnuts (to lower cholesterol) and raisins (well, because it's a delicious combo : )
ReplyDeleteSorry Lori but I just can't relate. I am one of those few people who CAN live without chocolate. At least you have the healthy variety. I don't think there is a healthy version of marshmallows. ;-)
ReplyDeleteI'm right there with ya...As I'm typing this I'm sticking one more Frango mint in my mouth...I gotta try your little treat as it looks pretty yummy...
ReplyDeleteMmmmm..nummy! I find myself addicted to Ghirardelli in general!! :D
ReplyDeletehmmmmm
ReplyDeletei seem to notice the bowl emptying as you type....
;-)
i ***LOVE*** (sing that in a high voice) ghiradelli!!!
melted-choclolate-on-my-hands hug, patty :-)
You take cuteness to the Nth degree, sweet Lori! I'm off to open my baking cupboards right now.
ReplyDeleteChocolate -- far superior to potatoes. Enjoy!!!
ReplyDeleteThe potato chips..potatoes are vegetable, right? And vegetable is said to be healthy! :D
ReplyDeleteYou DO know about chocolate covered potato chips, right??!! Seriously, we have them here in WNY. They must be a healthy snack. Come on over and get some, lori!!
ReplyDeleteMmmmm... CHOCOLATE! I'm hungry now. :)
ReplyDeleteDo you measure out a calorie portion for yourself, or do you eat 'em out of the bag like I do? I think if you allowed yourself a 100 calorie choco-fix each day that would be nice for you (and your hips).
xoxo,
Kate
Hmm chocolate :) One of my goals this year is enjoy those treats (with some moderation.. I hope!) and don’t feel guilty ;). This strange Florida weather sounds like a perfect excuse to have some chocolate right now!
ReplyDeleteThat gave me a giggle. My mom send me some of my favorite cookies for my birthday, and I've been eating them for breakfast the last 3 days. haha I decided I'm over 40 and I'll just have cookies for breadfast if I want too.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy,
Staci
Ok, you made me laugh!
ReplyDeleteSo delicious looking! I have had to give up chocolate, because of migraines! Not fair!!
ReplyDeleteLOL!!! Lori, you are just too funny! I have a jar of M&M's on my work table for those times when I need a little energy...I think I might have to do a search for these lovelies myself. First I have to get rid of all the leftover Christmas chocolates!! It's a tough job, but someone has to do it!!
ReplyDeleteAh... I love them too!! Enjoy!!
ReplyDeleteday is sad
ReplyDeleteempty is bowl
Hi Sweetie! That little bowl is just screaming to be filled up again! Yes, those little bits of chocolate happiness should always be on hand...or should I say, in hand! Yummy! xoxo ;D
ReplyDeletefunny! i love how the chips dwindled as we scrolled down. i'm going to have to try these. and, i think they would be yummy with a bowl of potato chips!!
ReplyDeletebtw, love this adorable little bowl!!
