this is the video version of a gift card holder tutorial that i posted last year. these card holders are really easy to make, and you can create them in a jiffy!
here's a better look at the holders that i created in the video....one thing that i forgot to mention is that rounding the corners of the outside flap gives it a nice finishing touch!

Thank you for this. It's much nicer than a plain old envelope and even more festive than the envelopes that are sometimes given with the gift card. Gotta remember rounding the corners in other things too. Much nicer.

This might be a silly question but I just have to ask - what is the thing you glued the holder with? I know it only as a white corrector but I've never seen it as a glue (or gluing tape). How is it called? Because I'd like to buy one of these but I think they don't sell it in my country :/

hi meg! the adhesive that i used to put the gift card holders together is the Tombow mono adhesive tape runner. it comes in permanent and repositionable.....i use the permanent and it holds very well. it's sold in most craft stores and you can buy refill cartridges for it. here's a link that gives more information:

I'd like to ask one more question. I plan to buy a paper cutter and I really like yours. Could you, please, tell me, what mark and type is it? I was trying to find out in the video but didn't see anything..I guessed Fiskars (because of the blue-orange colour combination).. Sorry for all the questions but I'm a complete 'paper beginner' :) Thank you for answering!!!
Funny, just five minutes ago I was rooting around in my gift box drawer searching for some little boxes that would be wide enough for gift cards. I found some, but made a heck of a mess in the process.
Then I get on the computer and I find this tutorial. Ah, well. I'll put this to use next year.

hi meg! the paper trimmer that i use is by Fiskars. you can buy replacement blades, and the black scoring tool is also sold separately. there are lots of different models on the market (and you can probably find this on ebay, too), but here's a link to the one that i use:
