well, i must confess that i didn't get very far with my studio re-org yesterday.....as a matter of fact, if i'm brutally-honest-oprah-tell-all:
i only worked for about an hour.
i decided to make this mini doodle quiltie instead. my studio is still a disaster, but i figure that if i had taken the time to clean it yesterday, it would already be a mess today....so see how much time i saved myself?!

i am sure you will get around to cleaning your space. your quiltie gives happy thoughts.
I love the way you think. Tomorrow is always another day. Do what makes your heart sing !!
HaHa! I like your logic! Besides, we have to create when the mood strikes!
I love the quiltie....just think you wouldn't have this wonderful creation if you have been cleaning your studio....I say go for being crative....
Hugs and Blessings,
Nancy
HAHA! This just makes me like you even more. Cleaning vs. crafting? Not really a contest, is it? I love that you ditched the organization project in favour of making something. (And a CUTE something, to boot!)
Now, that's my kind of thinking, Lori :) :)
I'm with you - I'd much rather create than clean!! This is adorable - much more fun than laundry, dusting, etc....
I just love your art. What did you use for your lettering? What did you for the lettering on the batting (previous quiltie post)?
Thanks so much. I view your posts daily. They make me smile.

Cleaning can get done at any time. Inspiration needs to be acted upon if you possibly can. My idea anyways.:) LOVE the doodle quilt and the sentiment upon it!!!!!
again...a messy, chocolate loving, "go for the fun and save the clean.up for later" my kind of girl!
i think you were inspired to CREATE instead of that other "C" word...because i really needed your words today.
i need to do more praising of HE who sends rainbows.
thanks dear.
happy tuesday.
(p.s. baby steps....an hour is a great start at baby steps!)

Good call...creating definitely trumps cleaning.
lori, how have you been?.. love your honesty.. i was laughing at the oprah bit.. lol
your art is always so uplifting..thank u for being here.
hugs, xo
lori, i posted twice.oops! lol
This is amazing!!! Your cleaning/organizing will get there in time, but for right now, you have amazing art in you that needs to be let out!! Go with it!
that is pure logic, my friend...and I'm happy to say that my studio is in a wonderful state of disarray as well! just the way I like it some days!
nice work...time well spent!

Creating this is far better than organizing. When my stuff is put away all neat then I tend to not want to get it out and that hampers my creativity. Happy creating...
Well all's not lost, you were pretty productive making a cute mini doodle :)
Oh my...that one is cute too! Can't wait until mine arrives in the mail. My sister is going to love it! I know what you mean about the studio organizing thingy. Mine is a mess and will just have to stay that way for now.
Hugs,
Tara
were you dancing in the daisies? haha :)
Love your doodle quiltie! It makes me sick to think of all the great art that gets never done because people (women ;) have to clean up all the time - so, congrats to what you did Lori!
You cleaned (a little) and you created. Sounds like a very productive day to me.
What mess? Let's call it "Organized chaos necessary to inspire creative flow"
That comment really gave me a laugh...lol! It probably very true.
there's no disagreeing with inspiration, & inspiration
with a rainbow-maker!
(ok lord, i won't clean much
today...). ;)
LOVE this soft/strong creation.

Lori, creating wonderful art like this, is soooo far better than cleaning up the studio! I'm so loving your quilties...all those colorful beads around your lettering...love, love, LOVE IT!!! xoxo Paulette
