i recently went on a little "retail safari" through amazon.com,
and discovered this fabulous walls notebook!!
and just as the title promises, it's filled from cover to cover with
fabulous photos of blank walls.
at first, it might seem like a really odd subject for a notebook,
but it makes the heart of the hidden-graffiti-artist
inside me beat a little bit faster just thinking of how i can decorate, doodle, and
jot down important reminders on those blank walls.
because i think some things are important enough to
shout-out-loud-and-stand-proud on the side of a big blank wall somewhere,
don't you?
and p.s. ......
you really ARE so much stronger and braver than you think!

I have had this notebook for several years and have yet to make a mark in it...you have done a fabulous job here Lori.
Makes me want to pull mine out...however since I don't "letter" very well I am apprehensive...
You are so clever!!!
I LOVE LOVE LOVE this notebook and what you've done with it, lori! Must go check it out right now...!
VERY COOL, LORI!!! Love those block letters!
Dear Elvie,

I am in a round robin group using this notebook. So fun and inspiring to see what you've done with yours!
I continue to use the techniques I learned in your class ALL THE TIME. Thank you! xo
great find! the skywriting one is cool too.
what a genius design for a notebook!
I "gifted" this book to myself recently after a friend received one in a journaling class and showed it to me! It's one of the journals that I plan to work in during 2012! It will be fun to see what you're doing in yours too.
PS After I saw the book, I had an uncontrollable urge to go out and photograph blank walls. I might do that this year too.
This is such a cool idea for a notebook! As always, love your lettering!
look what you did to that notebook! you upgraded it 100,000 times, you lovely letterer lori you!
Awesome inspiration! What a cool notebook :) Thanks for sharing!
Lori, What a cool notebook, must go check it out for myself. You've once again taken a blank slate to new heights!!! Awesome! Lettering-FaBuLoUs!!! Thanks for another dose o' inspiration. Hugs to you, Jeanette
i to have that book, i filled it full of collage and drawings
I was looking at this book a couple of weeks ago but had not seen anyone use it yet so I was afraid to purchase it because I didn't know how I would use it, but now you are making me want one. I was also wondering how the paper is, it is thick or thin?
hi kate! i would consider the paper to be somewhat medium weight. i used my micron pens, and there was no bleed-through to the page behind it, and it also took a VERY light amount of water to activate my watercolor pencils without buckling. i hope that helps you make your decision to treat yourself to one! xo
Wow... this book looks great!!
Such a clever idea "Walls".
Really like the pages.What a great "jump-start"...
Thank you for sharing. :]

awesome...I totally need to get one. Love what you did
Lori,
Hope you are planning to do another lettering class - this type of lettering would be cool with variations. I learned so much in your last class and include the lettering in my art journal all the time. Love your work. Thanks.
it gives a wonderful graffiti kind of look! how fun, dear! XOX
Again an amazaing inspiration, I love your lettering. Thanks for the hint, I found that notebook by amazon germany too.

I hv seen that notebook in a local store.. loved it.. it's on my amazon wish list.. love it for the same reasons u do!
I've seen this book before, and thought it was such a cool idea. I love what you've done with it...you are obviously going to have LOTS of fun. One of the other commenters mentioned wanting to go out and photograph walls now...wouldn't it be fun to create your own blank walls book, and write on the photos?! Such a fun idea.
Oh my goodness, I LOVE THIS! I am a closet graffiti photographer. I do believe the "Keep Off. Property of CSX" signs that appeared near the tracks on north Main Street where I love to shoot were but there for me! Hasn't stopped me yet though. I just stand 1/8" on the "good" side of the sign. :-) I just might have to have this book. It would be quite fun to fill with all my Letter Lab lessons!
how cool!!!
hugs,
tara
That is SO cool! The Skywriting book looks pretty fabulous too. TFS!
I haven't visited in SUCH a long time. Of course, as soon as I see your fantastic work I have a huge smile on my face. I love your coffee filter art. You've got such an appealing style of artwork, and this is so creative!!
