new directions

it always seems that just when you're floating along and getting comfortable,
life will give you a new set of directions.

and you know when opportunity calls,  you've gotta take it!

my little dutch sweetie and i have been traveling back and forth from florida to
the north carolina mountains for over a year, and the time has come
to make it a permanent move.

it's time to spread our wings....

and test the waters in new and exciting places.

i know we'll meet lots of great people and make new friends......

and find some new favorite places to hang out.

and in no time,  i'm sure we'll be floating along again
and getting comfortable in our new lives in the mountains!

(we met these goofy pelicans on a recent trip to amelia island, florida....
aren't they cute?  :))

{i've been busy getting our house ready for sale and i have lots of
art supplies that i won't be moving, so i'd like to share them with you!
more details on monday!  hope you have a great weekend!}

Love those pelicans, nearly put penguins as we're heavily into them as the theme for our daughter's wedding. Three weeks tomorrow eeeek! Been busy making chocolate penguins in an ice cube tray this morning. Just had to test the chocolate when it was melted mmmm!

We said that after moving to this house 11 years ago we wouldn't move again but hubby is getting itchy feet so you never know......

How exciting. I know how big of a decision something like this is. I'm sure this will open up even more creative doors.

Hi Lori, you brave soul. That is a major adventure you're embarking on. And a huge weather change, too. Best of luck in your endeavors. I'll follow you anywhere (in cyberspace, I mean). (I'm only a computer stalker).

you are a rock star! what a great perspective.

i am so thrilled that you guys are going to be centrally located and now all the traveling can be for fun. so, nc mountains, is it? lucky us!

i am about 60% through what i am thinking of as 'my moving purge'. i am not moving but recently, when someone said they couldn't believe how much 'stuff' they had from living in the same place for 10 years, i thought...hm, i have been here for 20 years. the roots are deep and the crap is packed tight. so i am cleaning to be 'move ready'. it feels so good.

congrats on the excitement of new!

big hugs!

You and your hubby will have an exciting journey ahead of you. With your smile and creative talents you will be immersed in the local life very quickly. Stock up on really good chocolate as you will need the extra energy...sorting and packing. I will be thinking really good thoughts for you dear...
