anatomy of an acorn

i recently took a quick walk through the park…..

and there was evidence all over the sidewalks
that the squirrels have been busy stocking up goodies for the winter.

i couldn't resist picking up the "leftovers",
  and by the time i got home, i had a pocketful of goodies
just waiting to be added to my journal!

{supplies:  moleskine watercolor journal, pitt pens,
derwent inktense pencils, 6B graphite pencil}

{i have a lot of travel scheduled for the month of october,
so i'll be checking in over at my new instagram account….
please join me here!}

It is the season of the acorns and busy gray and also brown squirrels. Your anatomy of an acorn is very sweet. Such wonderful artful inspiration from taking a simple walk. Such amazing talent from your artful hands and heart. Now to find a chocolate acorn!

What an adorable journal page! Our squirrels have been busy, too. I found several acorns when I cleaned out one of my flower beds.

I love this. I think if we had an acorn tree I'd have an endless collection of those happy little nuts. (seeds...?)

I love when you do pages like this. It's so amazing how you can take something so ordinary and make it, well, extraordinary :) Lori, you are the best! xoxo
