happy zone

i treated myself to some fabriano artistico 140 lb. soft press paper.......it's nice and heavy like watercolor paper, but the surface is smoother, making it a little easier to letter on.  i haven't had a chance to do much experimenting with it yet, so i decided to make a little journal "teesha-style".....these are super easy to make, and i love the fact that there aren't lots and lots of pages inside that i'll feel obligated/intimidated to fill up right away!!  pure happiness!!

this journal cover was created using watercolor pencils, micron pens, graphite pencil, and pan pastel.

isn't it amazing how paper and pens can be so appealing!! I remember as a kid loving to get new school supplies...and that has continued till this day. I love office supply stores, stationary stores, and of course art stores!!!

can't wait to see the inside pages of this journal as you create them.

I made one of these journals just last week! Of course, you're way ahead of me because mine is still completely and utterly blank. I like the theme of "happy zone." I can't wait to see what magnificent doodles will go inside.

What a great idea. I would love to have a go at that - as pre-made journals do see rather daunting to me.

I am so glad I found you.

Next to ATW, "soft" is my favorite paper. I'm surprised more paper mills don't make it.
