practice makes perfect. :)
and while i'd love to be more perfect in painting flowers and leaves (i've never had a knack for it), i'm having more of a problem with the "practice" part. because when i start practicing, and painting leaves, for example, it doesn't take too long for my mind to start wandering.....
and before i know it, i start to think of other things i could be doing with those leaves.
like doodling little fishies.....
or little birdies flying in for a landing.....
or writing secret little messages.....
or other strange things that pop into my head
(i'm taking suggestions as to what to call this little guy....)
so i really shouldn't be too surprised when i sometimes feel like i don't get too much accomplished......
or why i still can't paint leaves too well......heeheehee.

How gorgeous - I love your leaves! :-)
I love your whimsical playful art. Who needs leaves when they can have such fun fish, birds, secret messages and such a cute little hat wearing critter. Happy practicing...
I wish my mind wandered as productively and creatively as yours. Keep meandering through the "windmills of your mind", as someone once sang.
kinda looks like you DID get something accomplished! :-)
That little guy looks like a tad pole too me.
Oh I love 'em all!
These are absolute little darlings
how cute are they!!!!!!
I always love your work!!

But... this is so much more interesting thean kust plain leaves. And it shows how creative you are, and how much phantasie you have - good thing!
Gorgeous!! love these little creatures, leaves.
But your leaves are just so much more interesting!
I love what you see in your leaves!!!
Fun...this is just a FUN post!! I'm no good at names so I won't contribute there, but if more of those leaves become something else, I wanna See!! I wanna See!!
So funny--I love it!
LOVE it, Lori. And I'm definitely OK with the all play and no work! :D
Love it! How creative you are. This would make a great design for a card.
Lol, that is awesome!
i love this!!! your little critters are way cuter than flowers. the little hatted fellow should be named "too cute stuART" or stu for short!
Lori, I love this!!! I think you should continue to paint what pops into your lovely, creative head!!
I think the little critter is a Leaf Hopper!!! lol
xxoo
Ah.... but I can see/feel that you had fun!! ;-)
superb and funny
whimsical and light
You are a bad influence on me (in a good way!) I saw your leaf doodles, then I went back to my practice leaves (I'm taking Martha's class) - and now all I see are birds, not leaves. It's double the fun for half the effort! You are too much...
Pat
I happen to think they are better than just silly 'ol leaves anyway!
