someday i'd like to go to france and see what it would be like to be
one of those artists who set up their workspace on sidewalks and paint all day long.
and then go to england and walk in fields of red and yellow flowers.
but for now, i'm so happy to be right here at home.....
where my blessings are so abundant i couldn't even begin to count them!
(and i definitely include you, sweet bloggy friends, amongst them!!!)

koi watercolors, a waterbrush, and a mechanical pencil with HB lead}

Lori! Thanks for a sweet trip across the pond and back again. Yes, there's always no place like home...(do let me know if you have room in your suitcase though - ;)
Happy Travels. Jeanette
Everything you do uplifts me Lori. You really are a delight and your artwork is a joy to see. Have a grand day! :)
Such beautiful artwork!
As much as I love to travel, I can't wait to get home by the end of the trip (no matter how short).
This post makes me see my beautiful home in a new light today.
a birthday post

happy birthday!

just beautiful...it's definitely fun to travel and see new places...but I agree that home is sweet home always :)
Love these little "twinchies" - I just love your artwork...
Beautiful; I love your view over here~
I did see artists sent up in Quebec; I too dream of Paris~
Happy Birthday to you!
Your birthday? Happy birthday- have a LOVELY day and a healthy, joyful, incredible year!
And I love the little travelogue... imagined and real. I live in a little yellow house and it holds my heart, as well...
Perfect little works of art. When I worked years ago, in the travel industry, I would pop on a plane to Bordeaux for the weekend to visit a friend. A friend of my in Australia used to love to hear what I saw and where I went each weekend I was over there. She was fascinated that I could be in another country in an hour or so.
I used to send her a fax with all my news to her place of work - they didn't have 'home' computers then.
It sounds like birthday wishes are in order: Happy birthday! I love your sweet pictures. I used to be much more interested in long trips; now I keep them short, and look forward to returning home!
Too cute! I did get to go to England, and France last year...but the tour had my schedule so jam packed...I didn't have time to set up an easel!!! So when you go, make sure to take time aside for painting!
So sweet! I love that little red heart door. :-)
Awwww.. I hope you really do live in a sunny yellow house with a red door! :0
I love to peek into your sketchbook watercolor designs!! We really do have all the comforts at home....but it's so darn fun to stretch our wings too :D
omg I am fully in love with your art work!
Your little drawings are as precious as you are dear Lori. Home is a wonderful place to be. Traveling is not relaxing. Toto take me home...
Hey...I want to go to France with you!! How fun that would be. :) Love your little houses/cottages. Ahhhhh....cozy as can be. Hugs
I think you should set up a little art table on your own sidewalk and paint all day. Maybe you'll start a trend? :D
Your paintings are very sweet.
xo,
Kate
I love forward to your posts! so cheerful, whimsical & child-like... my favorite!!
Happy birthday, sweet Lori!
And what beautiful paintings!
What sweet houses....and Happy Birthday tooooo!
These are such beautiful mini paintings:O) awesome
These are exquisite! I lived in England for a year, there were still thatched roof cottages in the small village where we rented a huge old house. The gardens were heavenly! ♥
I just found you and I am delighted. Your posts are filled with joy in your art expression.
Thank you
