inspiration monday

when i was a kid in school, i took home economics instead
of art classes, and i discovered waaaay back then
that i truly love to sew.

and even though i started out sewing clothes for my barbies and my troll dolls,
my favorite thing to do now is create fun things for our home.
so when i found this free tutorial over at craftsy,  my fingers
started itching to get stitching again!
this sweet little bucket bag was super easy to put together…..

and there's lots of special pockets on the outside
to hold lots of special and important stuff.

 so now, my journals and all those other things that inspire me
 are never too far away!

{click here for a free craftsy bucket bag tutorial….
signing up for an account using an e-mail address is required,
but this class is free!}

{bucket bag fabric:  mill creek/crosby blackout and mustard polka dot }

The fact that you took sewing classes instead of art classes is surprising to me however you must have known art is in your DNA. I adore this bucket bag you have sewn. How perfect to keep your art and chocolate supplies right at hand. Thank you for the link. Creative Bliss Dear...

Oh wow! I want one :) I try to sew & something goes wrong every time! I feel like I'm in some kind of I Love Lucy episode! That bag really looks good and perfect for your goodies! You really are a woman of great talent! Have a great week Lori! xoxo

I used to love to sew. Not so much now. I think it's because I have an ancient sewing machine and it proves to be a more frustrating experience than a pleasurable one. Very pretty AND practical. My favourite combination.

You are a women after my own ART!!
I also started sewing Barbie doll clothes. My mother would buy theseprinted fabrics with the pattern already printed with the swing lines. I wish i did not give away my Barbie collection!
anyway i am a Craftsy acc holder and will check the bucket pattern.

Thanks, you've inspired me!

I wish i could send you some picks of what i do also.

I really love the shape of the handle on yours. It's different from the tutorial. Mind sharing how you did it?

Hi - is there a typed document with instructions for this cute little bag? I want to use it for crocheting. Thanks! Hopefully I can access the video on my phone.

I AM so late to this party! The page your link is supposed to link to has not survived Craftsy's numerous transformations - not surprising. Do you know the name of the pattern and/or designer of this cute little bag?

I have the same question as Margot above! the link doesn't work anymore and I have put off making this bucket for years.
