little white pen

this week, our DLP challenge  is to use a white pen
prominently on our journal page…..

and i'm super happy about that, because i think the little white pen
is one of the sweetest little treasures in my art box.
it's great for adding a little sparkle in just the right places…...

and no matter how you use it,
it can make any journal page seem like a masterpiece!

{i used these supplies for the week 37 DLP challenge:
moleskine planner, kraft card stock, sakura white gelly roll pen, pitt pens,
derwent inktense pencils, 5B graphite pencil, washi tape}

So beautiful! I must get a new pen,mine isn't free flowing at all and the ball leaves scratchy marks in the ink when it does come out! Can you recommend one please?

Hugs, Margaret xx

Hi, Lori ~ this is beautiful! Is the design drawn on vellum? If not, how did you get the transparent look? Your work is always so well planned and detail oriented. Just great!

thanks so much, jo! this was drawn on a piece of kraft card stock using a sakura white gelly roll pen and black pitt artist pens. the transparent look on the frame was created by coloring lightly with a flesh pink derwent watercolor pencil…..the color on the kraft makes it look white, which was a nice surprise to me! have fun! xox

Lori, are you still using the uniball signo? I've had awful luck with my white gelly roll so was about to try the signo I know you have mentioned in the past.

hi melissa! i use both the uniball signo and the gelly roll pen, depending on the paper i'm using. the gelly roll has worked nicely for me on the kraft card stock, whereas the uniball signo works better on some of the black papers i have. xox
