happily-ever-laughter

i'm still having a ball playing with the little thumbprint people......but after spending several minutes at the sink with some soap, water, and baby wipes to get the mess off of my fingers, i decided that i would carve up a couple of stamps to help keep my fingers a little less inky. i carved a thumbprint, and a pinky fingerprint.....

and then used them to create a page in my journal (that's me and my little dutch sweetie....can you see the resemblance? heeheeheee). this is waaaaay too much fun......makes me outright belly laugh!!

have a great weekend!!

So cute! I carve stamps as well and I've never thought to do a thumb print. Fun idea.

I love that you broke out the magnifying glasses to create your stamps. And it's so sweet that you were inspired by your husband -the holding hands detail is very cute.

Lori: Are you familiar with Ed Emberly ? He is an artist and children's book author. Has a whole book I think of fingerprint picture. Very cute idea, the stamp.

You sure do know how to spread the love and smiles! Too cute! I probably should know this, but do you recommend a good, economical place to get those tools and carving goodies for making stamps? I really do want to learn to do this! If you don't mind...thank you, lori! ~K

Priceless. I've always been drawn to the Emberly artwork using finger prints. Good idea to make a stamp to keep your fingers clean.
