another gray day

we've had overcast skies and lots of rain for the past couple of days, so this little gray doodle sure fits the mood. to create this, i used a leaf rubber stamp, staz-on ink, "shades of gray" pitt pens, micron pens, an 8B pencil, and techniques that i learned in pam carriker's online class, shades of gray.
here's looking forward to bluer skies tomorrow!!

I love the shading of the frame -- it really looks like it's outside the paper :)

Your gray days are addictive! I tried something similar to your previous gray post (ok, ok, not knowing much about shading, I mostly copied yours, but it was for practice only!). One thing that didn't surprise me a bit, was the amount of time needed for a small masterpiece like yours are. And I wasn't even close!

I just connected why you liked the b&w quilt blocks and the shadows. It's exactly what you are playing with these days! Looks like you are having so much fun with this.
