we've had overcast skies and lots of rain for the past couple of days, so this little gray doodle sure fits the mood. to create this, i used a leaf rubber stamp, staz-on ink, "shades of gray" pitt pens, micron pens, an 8B pencil, and techniques that i learned in pam carriker's online class, shades of gray.
here's looking forward to bluer skies tomorrow!!

Swirly leaf on easel...so incredibly cute and creative! I like your shading.
so cute! i love it!
it is snowing outside right now - that darn groundhog saw his shadow! lol
i hope you have sunny skies tomorrow :-)
It's a mini masterpiece!
Your gray days are addictive! I tried something similar to your previous gray post (ok, ok, not knowing much about shading, I mostly copied yours, but it was for practice only!). One thing that didn't surprise me a bit, was the amount of time needed for a small masterpiece like yours are. And I wasn't even close!
Lori, love the leaf design and the easel is a great touch. Great shading, Hugs
And they are getting better and better! Love every one!!!
I just connected why you liked the b&w quilt blocks and the shadows. It's exactly what you are playing with these days! Looks like you are having so much fun with this.
it is adorable♥
there is much beauty in grey shadows..
(if we look closer)
How perfect your little drawing looks on your adorable easel! I love your grays, Lori. I hope your days are sunnier now! Big hugs, Paulette xoxo
