switching gears

sometimes when i'm trying to learn a new technique......like drawing hair, for example.....and it's not going too well, i like to switch gears.
totally.
so, today i'm trading in my journal and graphite for my sewing machine and these fun mary engelbreit fabrics.
it's time for a little fabric play!

Switching gears is a great way to overcome blocks. I switch from painting to jewelry making. Jewelry is so technical and requires a totally different way of thinking. Can's wait to see what you make!

Isn't life funny? Why is it that when things aren't going just right, and you go away for a while, things get better when you get back to what you were working on?

I know just what you mean, Lori! :-)

I try to get back into a "comfort zone" when I'm working on a new skill that seems challenging. It helps me hang on to my confidence. :-)

I'll echo the rest of the kids ;-) and say that I can't wait to see what you make with your pretty fabric.

Smiles,
Crystal
