sometimes when i'm trying to learn a new technique......like drawing hair, for example.....and it's not going too well, i like to switch gears.
totally.
so, today i'm trading in my journal and graphite for my sewing machine and these fun mary engelbreit fabrics.
it's time for a little fabric play!

Thanks for the encouraging comment about my tomato paste foil! I posted an answer to how I heard about it on my blog comments.
good idea :)
have fun, my friend!
I used some Mary Engelbreit fabrics just recently to make some coffee cuffs! Turned out quite nice! Love to see what you're finished product is!
always good to change gears! keep them oiled and humming! have fun!
Switching gears is a great way to overcome blocks. I switch from painting to jewelry making. Jewelry is so technical and requires a totally different way of thinking. Can's wait to see what you make!
What are you making? What are you making? I can't stand the suspense! Woot hoot! ♥
Isn't life funny? Why is it that when things aren't going just right, and you go away for a while, things get better when you get back to what you were working on?
i must admit, i'm a fabric hoarder. :-) can't wait to see what you come up with from this! and i just played with fabric (and paint and glue and paper and ribbon and...) all weekend. can't wait to show you all the pictures!
looks like fun! sometimes i collect fabric like i do scrapbook paper. ;-)
I do this also! It helps so much to send your brain in an different direction. I like your fabric...make something pretty.
I will be waiting to see what you make out of those pretty fabrics. Sometimes we need a break and tonight is reading blogs and catching up on what everyone is doing. Take care.

I'm always sooo excited to get your packages ~ I love you ~ thanks for the hope card ~ also wanted to mention my cute little "Grow Strong" journal is being used right now for my 100 Day Challenge. You sending that journal was so appropriate for what I'm currently going through and working towards...You are precious..Thank you, thank you,,
Patricia xx
OH man, do I ever understand that!!!
I know just what you mean, Lori! :-)
I try to get back into a "comfort zone" when I'm working on a new skill that seems challenging. It helps me hang on to my confidence. :-)
I'll echo the rest of the kids ;-) and say that I can't wait to see what you make with your pretty fabric.
Smiles,
Crystal
