i've recently discovered that every once in a while, inspiration comes along and strikes in the form of two different projects......at the same time! my first inspiration-strike has been in the form of my pottery barn journal. here's another double-page spread (so much fun filling in all those boxes!!)......i think that having something monogrammed in your favorite thread color must be the ultimate-luxury-wish-list item, don't you?!
inspiration has really helped me stay the course with filling these journal pages.....
and i only have three more pages to go and my journal will be finished!
and as for the second project, well, inspiration hasn't quite worked out all the mechanical kinks yet.....but i sure have been working hard on it! i'm hoping that the stars will all be in alignment very soon, because i'm just beside myself with excitement to tell you about it!
{p.s. thank you SO much for all the sweet comments you've left here!
please accept my apologies for taking so long to visit your blogs!}
{pottery barn journal pages were created using koi watercolor, watercolor brush,
watercolor pencils, micron pen, and pencils}

Lori! What an awesome layout. Letters, thread and color - does it get any better!?! I think "LV" should be Style #1, though - for it is fabulous. Thanks for the much-needed dose 'o inspiration. Have an awesome week. Here's to everything aligning perfectly for the completion of your project. Hugs, Jeanette
another wonderful page.
Just wondering, do use a pointed nib for your lettering and if so which nib?? or do you draw your letters??
Thanks for any info. Have ag reat day.
GAH! I'm dying to know what your second project is all about. Please don't leave us hanging for TOO long. :)
Wow.. I am absolutely in awe. Such talent & beauty!
your journal art is always a delight to see!! can't wait to see what you've been up too.
Lori, I always look forward to Mondays and visiting your blog!
Anxious to hear what the 2nd project is all about. :)
Wow, always wow!
Your inspiration journal has certainly lived up to its name. Oh yes, to have my initials embroidered with some lushious exotic thread color on something would be quite chic. Your drawings are pure delight my dear...
I love what you've done here.
This is truly stunning - how original.
I am so looking forward to your next project.
Another wonderful entry in your journal. Can't wait to see your next project.
I, like Yogi, would love to know how you do your lettering. Not that I would be anywhere your standard but I could have a try lol
Margaret :o)
Ooooh...the anticipation is sweet...just like your wonderful journal. Can't wait to see what else you've been up to.

Beautiful and so delicate!
I hope the new project Will be an online class ! This would be so great !!!
Your work is so amazing and inspirational
another beautiful page! i will admit to being a spools of thread junkie. i can't resist them! i walk by the thread rows at Joann's and I have touch them. my biggest weakness are those multi-colored threads. no surprise there, i guess, given my love of color!
I'm dyin' over here... Spill the beans on your next project, you big tease!!! ;-)
Inspiration has helped you to fill your pottery barn journal and YOU have help to inspire me...LOVE your blog.
Oh my, you really do coax magic out of those microns. Having been lucky enough to see some of your writing in person, I will gladly tell everyone else that your work is every bit as beautiful as it looks here on your blog. Maybe even more so, because I get to hold it in my hand!
Perhaps when you're done, you could do a little video of you flipping through this journal? I'd really love to see that.
xoxo!
Thanks for the comment on my blog. I think I figured out how to do those letters or at least an acceptable version for me.
I'm using a pointed pen, but instead of just the width capable by the nib, I add on extra width to each letter and filling it in. Thanks for making me play and figure it out. BIG GRIN. I can now get a 9" wide word Sheesh!!
I love your letters, they are so creative, beautiful and inspiring. really fabulous!
Lori,
Your journal pages are truly an inspiration... I wish I could draw and apply watercolor as well as you do, and trust me, I've tried!!! :D
Just not my strength, I guess... but a girl can still dream, right!?!?
Have a great weekend,
Kathy
I'm so excited about this class. I can't wait to start. Yay.
