once all my alpha-stamps were carved, i couldn't wait to use them! so i thought the best way to give each one of them equal time was to stamp out one of those alphabet sentences. but once i had finished stamping the last word, i noticed that i had a letter "s" leftover.......
......because i had stamped the word wrong! oops.
oh well, i went back and stamped the "s" on there anyway......
it's not an alpha-sentence unless you have all the alphas!
(besides, sometimes the letter "s" can be a little temperamental if he starts to feel left out. heehee)

koi watercolor, micron pen, 2B graphite pencil, pan pastel}

hee hee, oops, that's funny. I love your letter stamps. I so wish you could get that easy carve stuff here!
( For some strange reason, I seem to get a lot of hits on a post I did a long time ago about the quick brown fox- I wonder if you will too. )
They're AMAZING stamps!!!! Unfortunately, I'm 'stamp carving challenged', so I truly admire your efforts and results! Hugs, Terri
this makes me itching to start carving and I have to leave for work...
gorgeoas letters Lori, your little fox-dog story is adorable (watch out for the S)
I think the page is even BETTER because of the "oops". It makes it fun and "real" and interesting instead of just a typical alphabet sentence (which is called a pangram, by the way -- just some fun trivia for you!) :)
They look FABULOUS!! I have to admit, I *almost* bought a block of stamp carving material yesterday but then put it back. But now I think I need to return to the shop and just go ahead and give it a whirl!!
Lori, Can it be any cuter or more clever?!? How fun. And, you made your "oops" look like it was just meant to be! Thanks for the smile, like always. Have a lovely weekend! XO!
Bardzo lubię tu zaglądać :)
lori--
would love to know how you achieved the color variation in your stamped letters--
thanks--

You are so clever. Great art.
I have done lots of alpha sentences in my time but none with the cute fox and the dog, SO adorable. You have such a darling sense of humor, always makes me smile!!!
whoopsies are ok! i love your page! :-)
*hihi* oops is so funny and the best idea. Love your carving alpha, perfect three-dimensional coloring, you are a really great artist!
Love this!! I have written that sentence sooooo much in my calligraphy lessons!
Gorgeous!!! Great alphas :) So funny that you had an 's' left over, it's the kind of thing that would happen to me!
sometimes mistakes can be wonderful!!
Fabulous! :o)
Lori - The little sketches, the little fox/dog story along with the alpha carved letters, your humor... You just amaze me!
Thanks for sharing!!

Your artwork makes me smile & now, I too think I want to try some stamp carving. I want to touch the left over pink remnants from your alphabet stamps... I've made block prints from a linoleum block, but the soft, pink material looks buttery to the touch & I can almost imagine carving a stamp or two.
You inspire me!
This is a terrific example of how happy accidents can be cute and quirky...such original personality.
You still get an A+ since this is art and not typing class! Love what you make. Happy weekend...
oh I love this calligraphy exercise...I have done it many times with several foxy foxes:) and dogs.
I love your version!
Love this, such a great and fun page
isa
gorgeous page! i just found your blog recently and love it! my hubby just told me that he uses that phrase to test keyboards at work... the 's' belongs to 'dogs'... "the quick brown fox jumped over the lazy dogs" i never knew that! lol! hope this helps a bit :) xxx
Good "save"!
Hi, Lori, saying prayers forvyour safety during the storms!
Lori, did you use the 'E' you carved, or did you substitute the 'C' and add a horizontal stroke? Seems to me the journal page doesn't match the photos of the carved letters!
Please tell us how you got the lovely shading on the letters: did you stamp in a very light color, then put on additional shades?
So cool! Love your humor too.
Love your letter stamps! And I make those boo boo's frequently so I am glad to see I am not the only one. : )
I just love your letters, AND this entire page. That quick fox is so perfect...and you're just too funny! :D xoxo Paulette
