i just finished my latest coptic book structure. this one has the most beautiful collaged-look decorative paper...and i really love the bird that's featured center stage. and i got so involved in sewing the book together, that i completely forgot to add some other papers around each signature inside (of course, i noticed this omission after i was finished sewing the book together!). so, still wanting to add a little interest to the text pages, i decided to take my scraps, paper punches, needle, and thread, and sew some bits and pieces here and there throughout the book. i'm loving the end result...and it seems to have satisfied (for today) this crazy obsession i have for sewing on paper!

sewing and paper-i love the way it looks. i just can't 'get' the sewing thing down...i keep saying i'm going to temporarily forgo all other mediums and focus on sewing, but then another idea arises and it never happens. another awesome book!
It's wonderful!
Love this one, Lori! And I think the little bits sewn at the corners inside is a fabulous idea! What a great way to use up those scraps!
I love the colors of this one, very nice. See, now you have another way of doing these things. Not an omission, just diferent and unique. Well done!

Hi Lori! Your color choices are perfect together. I love how you added some sewing to the pages. Makes it even more uniquely handcrafted. Everything happens for a reason. :)
