inspiration monday

i just love it when the day is winding down, the dishes are done, i have a chance to sit down and flip through some pages of my favorite pottery barn catalog...and inspiration strikes!  while i really like the cabinet, this "quote board" is actually what caught my eye!  it's 12 panels, most likely painted with chalkboard paint, placed next to each other to make one large panel, and finished with this wonderful thought written in white chalk:

into each day put equal parts of faith, patience, courage, work, hope, fidelity, liberality, kindness, rest, prayer, meditation, and one well-selected resolution.  put in about one teaspoonful of good spirits, a dash of fun, a pinch of folly, a sprinkle of play, and a cupful of good humor.

thanks for the inspiration, pottery barn!

Wow, finding inspiration from a catalog. Great quote.

I like the idea of the chalkboard paint. Can you imagine that on a kids room wall? No more scolding at them for drawing on the walls... and I bet during a party, all the adults would be up there drawing too. :)

Hugs,

Kate

You can barely read it but the very last chalkboard line says: "...and a bottle of rum." No really it does! :)

i find so much inspiration in pottery barn as well and i love the quote. i'm thinking it would be cool to paint a large board with chalkboard paint and then hang it on my sliding closet door in the art room. thanks for the great idea!!!
