when i saw this paper, my memory reminded me of a time when my favorite outfit was a pair of stonewashed blue jeans and a beautiful brown suede fitted jacket.....you know, the kind with big leather patches sewn on the elbow section of the sleeves (which kinda indicates how far i'm going back in time!). for whatever reason, these denim blues and brown flourishes really spoke to me. isn't it amazing how one little piece of paper can provide such a random slice of joyful nostalgia?!
and speaking of random, the number 45 was chosen for the giveaway...... which means that darlene over at a dancing mango will be receiving a set of holly jolly note cards!! congratulations darlene! i'll be contacting you shortly for your address!
and thanks SO much to everyone who participated! your sweet comments and support mean more to me than i could ever express!!
i hope you have a fabulous weekend!!
OMG...LORI, I never win anything!
I just love those cards too..thank you.. thank you.. thank you.
What a Merry Christmas already..
I am so happy.. I will do the elf dance now!
Darlene, you're going to love this book of Lori's! I have a few and each one is unique so pretty. I feel I have to carefully plan out my page, because I don't want to mess them up... ~ enjoy it!
Lori, you just seem to have a knack for finding the paper that is so cute and lovely at the same time - My trip to visit my friend is coming up quick. She has the first book I ordered from you and will be sending it home with me. Can't wait to see what she's written in our little treasure book. It's kind of like "Sisterhood of the travelling pants", but it's your cute blue bird book that's doing the travelling...
I'm jealous. Can I buy some holly jolly cards? xo
I love this journal and yes, how I do remember the stonewashed jeans and jacket with patches. Ah--memories, memories....
Should i not be wearing my stonewashed jeans and patchy jacket right now?? (Lori, I used to own neon orange bell-bottoms with a neon lime green sash...)
Congratulations to Darlene. I too like blue and brown together. It is surprising sometimes what triggers thoughts and memories.
I am such a huge fan of blue and brown together. Such a beautiful book.

The blue jean paper speaks comfort and calligraphy to me. I love it! Thanks for stopping by our new Calligraphers' guild blog although it's still in its infancy.
All your work is so wonderfully inspiring. I did began journaling again just a few nights ago. My world had become such a whirlwind that I thought it would be a good idea to return to journaling to sort my mind out :).
