art party

this is one of the art pieces that i'll be taking to a local church today.  i'm participating with several other calligraphers in an art exhibit called "Beauty of the Word"...the church was generous in offering space for us to show our work.  i must admit that i have always resisted putting my work on exhibit.  i think that it has a lot to do with the whole "acceptance" issue that many artists go through.  but, once i deliver my work, i'll be happy that i pushed myself because it's always so exciting to see everyone's art come together as a show.  it's kind of like one big art party!    (click on artwork for larger image)
