art house

when the art-to-the-5th gals revealed this week's challenge to draw a house….

i went a little crazy with my art supplies…..

and came up with my own version of a fun little art house!
{and there's a bonus room inside with belgian chocolate tucked away,
because all well-designed art houses have a special spot
for the chocolate stash,  you know.  heeheehee}

i hope you have lots of time to
make really awesome stuff this weekend!!  xox

{supplies for this week's DLP challenge:
moleskine planner, fabriano artistico 140 lb HP paper,
derwent inktense pencils, micron and pitt artist pens, pan pastel,
washi tape, 6B and 4B graphite pencils}

inspiration monday

i had some fun playing in my wings journal
using a few of my hand-carved stamps, a versamark stamp pad,
and dina wakley's pan pastel technique
that she demonstrates in this tutorial!
(and she shares a couple of other great art journal tips, too!)

{watch dina's tutorial over at vimeo}

inspiration monday

i've discovered that inspiration loves a good party.....
especially when all your favorite art supplies are on the guest list.

because once "everyone" gets together......

and starts to mix and mingle.......

fun things start to happen.

and before you know it,  inspiration is single-handedly
responsible for an all-out artfest!  woo hoo!

{this was created in my elvie journal using pan pastels,
pitt pens, 4B graphite pencil, uniball signo white gel pen}
