pleasant spring

over the past several weeks, i've seen lots of gray days…..

i've watched first snowfalls…..

and i've heard the crunch of it beneath my feet.

and as a girl from florida, i'm certainly not an expert on winter...
but i think this surely must mean we're in for a
very pleasant spring, don't you?  :))

inspiration monday

i had some fun playing in my wings journal
using a few of my hand-carved stamps, a versamark stamp pad,
and dina wakley's pan pastel technique
that she demonstrates in this tutorial!
(and she shares a couple of other great art journal tips, too!)

{watch dina's tutorial over at vimeo}
{supplies:  wings journal,  hand-carved stamps, versamark ink pad,
pan pastel, pan pastel tools, pitt pens, 6B graphite pencil}

springing forward

one of my favorite things about springtime is the arrival of tulips!
they bring back memories of riding on a train through holland many years ago
and looking out on fields saturated with delicious tulips in full bloom.....

and i always think of my little dutch sweetie when i see them!

but seeing tulips also reminds me to look forward,
because wrapped up in each one of those blooms is the promise
of renewal and fabulous springtime celebrations to come!

i hope you're having a beautiful spring,
(even in spite of this icky cold weather we've been having!)
and i'm sending you many heartfelt wishes for an Easter
filled with blessings abundant!
 enjoy your weekend, sweet bloggy honey bunnies!  xox
